The Fischer Navigator Series Aneroid Precision Barometer represents the pinnacle of German engineering for measuring atmospheric air pressure.

This instrument features a 5-fold aneroid can set. Constructed from a stable copper-beryllium alloy, it ensures long-term measuring accuracy.

Precision Aneroid Description

This barometer measures absolute atmospheric pressure with outstanding accuracy across its functional range.

The precision mechanism uses specialized cans that show minimal ageing. This design eliminates hysteresis and elastic aftereffects during use.

A bimetal compensation system manages temperature influences. This allows reliable operations in environments from -30 to +40 °C.

The can stroke transfers to the pointer via a fine geared pinion. All bearing points are precision polished to reduce static friction.

FISCHER created this "Black Edition" in 2024, inspired by marine chronometers found on a ship's bridge. It features a black lacquered wood case.

The unit includes a brushed stainless steel bezel and black dial. A double-edged index hand allows for professional, parallax-free readings.

Strictly limited to 24 pieces, each unit has a unique serial number. Manufacturing occurs at the FISCHER workshops in the Ore Mountains.

"Fischer instruments are trusted at sea for 60 years," says David F. Burch, PhD, Director of the Starpath School of Navigation.

He notes it achieves accuracy better than ± 0.7 hPa. It remains one of the best precision mechanical instruments available today.

Every Fischer instrument comes with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty. But here’s the truth: these are modern heirlooms, engineered in Germany to last a lifetime. Issues are rare (we hardly ever see them).

And if something does happen? Cameron, our founder, runs theofficial Fischer service centre right here. If he can’t fix it (spoiler: he usually can), Fischer will. Either way, you’re covered.

Bottom line: you’re buying peace of mind, not just a weather instrument.

If this product displays a yellow pre-order label at the top of the page, it means the instrument is not currently in stock.

Some pieces are crafted to order in Germany, which typically takes 4–6 weeks. In other cases, we may already have new stock on its way to us.

Once your order is placed, Cameron will personally confirm the expected timeframe. You’ll hear from us again as soon as your instrument is ready to be dispatched.

These are precision instruments made to last a lifetime, and we’ll ensure you’re kept informed every step of the way. If you’d ever like an update, you’re always welcome to get in touch.
